Custom Work — A Painting Made For You

Custom Work — A Painting Made For You

What if the most important painting you ever owned

began with your story?

There is a difference between finding a painting you love and receiving a painting that was made — from the very first brushstroke — for you.

For your space. For your story. For the specific frequency of healing, beauty, or transformation you are ready to invite into your life. For the colors that have always moved you without your knowing why. For the feeling you want to wake up to every morning and return to every evening. For the part of your journey that has never yet found its image in the world — until now.

That is what a custom commission makes possible.

Not art that fits your wall. Art that fits your life.

Who a Custom Commission Is For

A custom work is for you if:

You have walked through the existing collection and felt something close to what you were looking for — but not quite. The colors were almost right. The scale was almost perfect. The energy was almost the frequency you needed. Almost, but not quite.

You have a space — a specific wall, a specific room, a specific environment — that deserves something created precisely for it. Not adapted to it. Not placed in it. Born for it.

You are moving through a particular chapter of your life — a transformation, a healing, a new beginning, a hard ending, a long-awaited arrival — and you want a painting that holds that chapter with you. That marks it. That honors it. That becomes the visual anchor of everything you are becoming.

You are searching not for decoration but for meaning made visible — and you know, with the quiet certainty of someone who has stood before the right painting at the right moment, that the right image can change everything.

If any of this resonates — a custom commission was made for you.

What Can Be Commissioned

Every element of your painting is created in dialogue with you — nothing is predetermined, nothing is generic, everything begins with listening:

Scale & Format

From intimate personal pieces to monumental statement works. Whether you need a painting that whispers or one that commands — that fills a grand architectural wall or holds a private corner of a bedroom sanctuary — the scale is yours to define.

Medium & Texture

Choose from the full range of the artist's practice:

  • Oil on canvas — for depth, luminosity, and the timeless richness of the traditional medium
  • Acrylic on canvas — for vibrancy, freshness, and the particular quality of light unique to acrylic
  • Oil & acrylic mixed media — combining the strengths of both for maximum visual complexity
  • Full 3D mixed media — the signature sculptural surface, built up in physical relief, that transforms not just with viewing angle but with every shift of light throughout the day

Color & Palette

Your palette is developed through conversation — about the colors that have always moved you, the atmosphere you want to create, the existing tones of your space, and the emotional frequency you are reaching for. Color is not decoration here. It is language — and we will find yours.

Theme & Intention

Every commission begins with the most important question: what do you want this painting to hold?

It might be a chapter closing and a new one opening. A healing you are in the middle of. A quality you are calling into your life — abundance, resilience, clarity, peace, courage. A relationship you want to honor. A home you are creating from scratch and want to fill with intention from the beginning.

There are no wrong answers. There is only your truth — and the painting that emerges when your truth meets the artist's hand.

The Commission Process

Step 1 — The Conversation

Where everything begins

Every commission begins with a conversation — unhurried, open, and genuinely exploratory. We talk about your space, your story, your vision, and the feeling you are reaching for. You share what moves you, what you are drawn to in the existing collection, what colors live in you, what this painting needs to do in your life and your home.

This conversation is not a brief or a specification. It is a listening. And it is the foundation upon which everything that follows is built.

Step 2 — The Concept

Where your vision takes form

From the conversation, a custom concept is developed — scale, medium, palette direction, compositional energy, and thematic intention — and shared with you for refinement. This is a collaborative moment: your responses, your instincts, your yes and your not-quite shape the direction before a single brushstroke is made.

You will know when it is right. We wait until it is.

Step 3 — The Creation

Where the painting finds itself

With concept confirmed, the painting begins. This is the part that cannot be fully scheduled or predicted — because genuine creation, the kind that produces work with real healing frequency, requires surrender as much as skill. The artist works in layers, in time, in dialogue with the canvas — listening for what the painting wants to become, not just what it was planned to be.

Progress is shared throughout the process. You are never waiting in the dark.

Step 4 — The Arrival

Where the painting finds its home

When the work is complete — truly complete, not merely finished — it is carefully documented, professionally packaged for safe transit, and delivered to you anywhere in the world. It arrives ready to hang, ready to inhabit your space, ready to begin its work in your life.

And the conversation, if you want it, never fully ends.

Investment

A custom commission is an investment in something genuinely irreplaceable — a painting that exists nowhere else in the world, made by no one else's hand, for no one else's story but yours.

Pricing is determined by:

  • Scale — the dimensions of the finished work
  • Medium — oil, acrylic, mixed media, or full 3D sculptural surface
  • Complexity — the layering, detail, and time required by the specific piece

All commissions are quoted individually following the initial consultation. A deposit secures your place in the commission schedule, with the balance due upon completion.

Timelines

Custom works are created with the same care and unhurried intentionality that defines every painting in the collection. Current commission timelines range from 6 to 14 weeks depending on scale, complexity, and schedule availability.

If you have a specific date in mind — a housewarming, an anniversary, a significant gift — please mention it at the outset. Every effort is made to honor meaningful deadlines, and early conversation gives us the best chance of doing so beautifully.

Custom Commissions as Gifts

There are gifts that are given. And then there are gifts that are remembered for a lifetime.

A custom painting — made for someone you love, from a conversation about who they are and what they are moving through and what beauty they carry in them — is not a gift that sits on a shelf or gets returned or forgotten in a drawer. It is a gift that changes the room it hangs in. That changes the person who wakes up to it. That says, in the most permanent and beautiful way available: I saw you. Fully. And I wanted to mark that.

Custom commissions make extraordinary gifts for:

  • Housewarming — for the home being built from scratch and deserving art with intention at its center
  • Wedding & anniversary — a painting that holds the frequency of a love story, made to last as long as it does
  • New beginnings — a new chapter, a healed chapter, a long-awaited chapter finally arrived
  • Memorial & remembrance — honoring a life, a relationship, a loss with something that holds beauty and grief simultaneously
  • Corporate gifting — for the client, the partner, the colleague whose importance exceeds what any conventional gift could express
  • Self-investment — because sometimes the most important gift is the one you give yourself: the painting that marks the moment you decided to take your own becoming seriously

What Collectors Say

"I told her I wanted something that felt like the moment after a long storm finally passes — like that specific quality of light when the sky clears and everything is washed and the air is completely still. I didn't know if that was possible to paint. She painted it exactly."
— Private collector, residential commission

"The painting arrived and I stood in front of it for twenty minutes before I could speak. It was everything I had tried to describe and everything I hadn't found words for. I don't know how that happens. I'm just grateful it did."
— Corporate commission, executive suite

"I commissioned it as a gift for my mother during her recovery. She told me it was the first thing that made her feel like herself again."
— Gift commission

A Note From the Artist

Every commission I accept is a sacred responsibility.

When someone trusts me with their story — with the specific chapter they are in, the healing they are seeking, the beauty they are ready to receive — I do not take that lightly. I carry it into the studio. I carry it through every layer of paint, every decision about color and texture and form. I carry it until the painting tells me it is ready — not when the schedule says so, not when it looks finished, but when it feels true.

That is my commitment to every person who chooses to create with me. Not just a beautiful painting. A painting that is genuinely, precisely, irreplaceably yours.

I can't wait to hear your story.
